Học phần Logic học và phương pháp học tập, nghiên cứu khoa học bao gồm hai phần:

Phần Logic học bao gồm những nội dung cơ bản về những hình thức cơ bản của tư duy và những quy luật cơ bản của tư duy. 

Phần Phương pháp học tập và nghiên cứu khoa học gồm những cơ sở của hoạt động học tập, cách rèn luyện năng lực học tập và các phương pháp học tập ở bậc đại học; những nội dung cơ bản về nghiên cứu khoa học như phát hiện vấn đề khoa học, đặc điểm nghiên cứu khoa học, trình tự nghiên cứu khoa học, đề tài khoa học, giả thuyết khoa học, phương pháp thu thập và xử lý thông tin, phương pháp trình bày kết quả nghiên cứu khoa học,…

  1. COURSE OBJECTIVES

This course is built up to provide under-graduate students in different majors of business and trade. This course covers knowledge on competition, economics of competition, competition law and policy in general, and an important research subject of this course are rules of competition law within the framework of the WTO, new generation FTAs as well as relevant legal documents and guiding documents (softlaw) of international organizations to ensure that international trade is operated fairly and against trade restrictions in line with the WTO’s objectives. 

The course also provides knowledge on anti-competitive behaviours such as cartel, unilateral conducts and merger as well as unfair business practices of enterprises which can be sanctioned by competition authorities. The course also addresses issues of implementation of competition laws with reference to compliance, competition procedures and authorities.

Depending on the specific conditions of each stage, the organization of the final exam can be done in the form of a centralized exam at the school or an online exam. Evaluation criteria are built according to the approved barem.

1. COURSE OBJECTIVES

International trade transaction is a compulsory module designed for students majoring in various fields of Foreign Trade University. The course provides students with knowledge and skills related to commercial activities in a global market and focuses on commercial transactions in a complex international environment where there are differences in politics, economics, trade policy, language, and culture. These transactions, ranging from direct sale, intermediary transactions, re-export, countertrade, auction, bidding to franchise, should be conducted in accordance with international regulations and practices.

The course is designed to achieve a balance between basic theoretical knowledge, practices and skills in international trade transactions, and research objectives at higher-level academic institutions in Vietnam and around the world.

1. COURSE OBJECTIVES

This course involves insurance and risk management as tools to serve international business activities. Basic concepts and fundamental legal principles in insurance are introduced to students. Emphases are on arranging insurance policy in some non-life insurance fields, especially on insurance for export/import goods carriage by sea in international trade. Insurance Fundamental concepts and the necessary of risk management are also important contents that will be mentioned in the course. Besides, this course instructs students insurance company’s operations and legal and compliance functions as well as other operational fields.

1. COURSE DESCRIPTION

This module aims to equip students of different majors in the field of economics and business with research methodology. After the course, students will understand research philosophy and be able to conduct steps in research process such as identifying a research topic, doing literature review, understanding research philosophy foundations and approaches to develop research theories, formulating the research design, conducting research ethics and ethics in data access, collecting and analyzing quantitative and qualitative data, and presenting research findings.   • Content:  Topic approved by the lecturer(s)
  • Evaluation criteria:

+ Present the statement clearly and rationally              2 points

+ Present the topic logically and focally with linkage to the reality 5 points

+ Citation & reference 1 point

+ Language (including body language) and styles 2 points

 

 

  • Final paper

 

  • Format: Referring to -        Journal of International Economics and Management (JIEM) guideline
  • Content: Topic approved by the lecturer(s)
  • Evaluation criteria:

+ Problem: Identify clearly and reasonably the problem       3 points

+ Analysis: Logical and profound analysis with examples of real issues 4 points

+ Reference: Use various academic reference materials with citation 1 point

+ Language: Clear and academic style, cited correctly                       1 point

+ Creativity                                                                        1 point

 

 

  • Mid-term exam

 

  • Format: Writing in paper or computer-supported
  • Content: Topics which were studied
  • Format and time: MCQs and/or essay in 45- 60 minutes.
