1. COURSE OBJECTIVES

 

The course is highly practical, to help students apply the combined knowledge learned by the LSCM major. Students participating in the section will be divided into groups to carry out projects in the LSCM field of enterprise/organization. The course encourages students to find and discover business ideas, experiment, implement, develop and perfect ideas into specific implementation plans, highly adaptable to the fluctuations of the international business environment in the context of the Industrial Revolution 4.0. Lecturers and experts working practically in the LSCM field will advise and equip teams with the tools they need to solve problems posed during the construction and/or implementation of projects.

2. COURSE CONTENT 

 

The course is designed for 5 weeks of full-time internships, when students finish year 3 of study.

Students intern in groups of 4 to 6 students, under the guidance of at least 1 teacher, and there may be 1 instructor from the internship unit. The group of students is oriented to investigate into a field or a real-life situation of the internship unit. At the end of the internship, the group of students must present their finding results to the board decided by the Department/School.

The instructor is assigned by the School of Economic and International bussiness, will have at least 3 working sessions with the student, according to the schedule and the following contents:

  • 3.1. Regular assessment (20%)
  • Students need to be fully present at 3 meeting sesssions with their instructor/lecturer and internships according to the work schedule and requirements from the internship unit. The internship period is full-time ("full time").

    Lecturer/instructor will base on the internship evaluation and the teacher’s feedback  to evaluate the required attandance score.

1. COURSE OBJECTIVES

This course is designed to include theories of international trade and marketing management in the global environment. It focuses primarily on concepts and principles of marketing applied for enterprises, especially those in the logistics and supply chain management field from environmental analysis (economic, political, legal, cultural and social environment) to marketing research, segmentation, targeting, positioning, strategic marketing planning and services marketing. Students will be asked to stay current on topics that affect or may affect international business, global companies, and their strategies. They will be also asked to conduct research on companies and their involvement in international business; assess global opportunities, consider global marketing strategies, and evaluate alternative modes of entry into global markets.

1. COURSE OBJECTIVES

This is a bridging course, connecting foundation courses to professional knowledge courses. This course provides basic theories of money, including: function and development of money, its impact to trade and settlement, the roles of financial institutions, especially the role of banks.  Moreover, this course introduces the role of central bank to monetary policy and its impact to the society.

This is the basic theoretical financial module connecting basic theoretical modules with professional financial modules.

The module presents basic theory in finance like: what finance is, functions and nature of finance; financial system and the role of each component in the system; financial markets; time value of money, yields and risks, generalizing the main contents of financial activities in areas such as state budget, insurance, credit and corporate finance.

1. COURSE OBJECTIVES

This course is an introduction to the roles of Logistics, different categories of Logistics Services Provider, and appreciation of the roles of outsourcing in the supply chain. You will understand the theoretical knowledge and practical experiences in the process of origin and destination services with in-depth discussion on the concept of Consolidation, Documents handling and Cross-docking. Import – Export process under 2 main packages: Incoterms – International Trade Contract – L/C and Customs Procedure/Clearance and risk analyses and management in each activity to optimize Customs clearance process will be mentioned in the course.

1. COURSE OBJECTIVES

The course presents the strategic approach to marketing communications and IMC tools. It allows students to understand and put into practice the different development stages of a marketing communication plan for a brand: 

- The diagnosis of the situation and the challenges to which the communication plan has to respond; 

- The definition and in-depth understanding of the target audience; 

- The definition of strategic communication objectives and the mobilisation of important persuasion theories; 

- The creative process and the implementation of the communication plan across different communication tools. 

The course does explain traditional media but, at the same time, puts an emphasis on the variety of new media offered within the digital environment as well as on new trends in marketing communication.

1. COURSE OBJECTIVES

The emergence of the multimodal transport has been facilitating growing international trade and logistics. The reason is there has always been a close asscoication between transport and trade, and efficient transport services are a prerequisite to successful trading.  Therefore, understanding the interrelationship between different modes of transport used in international trade is very important and imperative. This  course aims at providing students with fundamental knowledge and skills related to multimodal transport.
