1. COURSE OBJECTIVES

This course involves international transportation and logistics as tools to serve international sales contracts. Emphases are on arranging transportation process and related things to move goods from seller’s country to buyer’s country by different modes (sea, air, road, and multimodal transport). Carrier’s liability and other legal issues in transportation contracts are also important contents that will be mentioned in the course.

(1) Midterm: choose one of the following methods:

(a) Group presentations

- Content: According to the topic approved by the teaching teacher

- Evaluation Criteria:

+ Organization (Defining the problem very clearly, accurately and well organized. The content presented is easy to follow thanks to the organization. The transfer of ideas between sections is done smoothly and with coordination, analysis Logical, insightful, practical analysis): 2 points

+ Comprehension (Exhibits excellent understanding of the subject matter. Excellently demonstrates mastery of content, application and reasoning. Thoroughly researches the problem, cites references in accordance with regulations. ): 2 points

+ Creativity (Very creative and original. Creative design and use of materials. Printed sheets, visual tools and novel methods): 1.5 points

+ Intuitive tools (Simple, clear, easy to understand, easy to read. Very consistent with the content, well designed and very effectively used. A model for how to prepare and use online tools. quan): 1 point

+ Summarization (Clear, precise, important points emphasized, solutions, clear recommendations, very convincing conclusions or calls to action): 1.5 points

+ Presentation skills (Presentation: Confident, use good notes, have good posture, attract listeners and have good eye contact, clear presentation language): 2 points

(b) Written exam

- Format: Written exam

- Content: According to the specific regulations of the lecturer

- Evaluation Criteria:

+ Define the problem clearly, logically and feasible: 3 points

+ Logical analysis, straight to the point, practical contact: 6 points

+ Creativity in presentation: 1 point

Total: 10 points

(2) Final exam

(a) Written exam

- Format: Written exam (essay, problem solving)

- Content: the issues studied in the module

- The exam consists of essay questions and situational questions with many additional details. The test time is up to 90 minutes.

- Evaluation Criteria:

+ Clear and profound answers to situational questions: 4 points

+ Logical, rigorous reasoning: 3 points

+ Referring to specific legal regulations: 2 points

+ Creativity in presentation: 1 point

Total: 10 points

(b) Assignment

- Format: Written assignment (assignment, problem solving)

- Content: the issues studied in the module

- Exam questions will be given by the lecturer with hypothetical situations or role-playing, students will be able to work individually or in groups, may be required to give a presentation so that the examiner can evaluate the work.

- Evaluation Criteria:

+ Clear and profound answers to situational questions: 4 points

+ Logical, rigorous reasoning: 3 points

+ Referring to specific legal regulations: 2 points

+ Creativity in presentation: 1 point

Total: 10 points

(c) Oral examination

- Content: Issues have been studied

- The test consists of two questions that are randomly assigned by the students in the exam kit.

- Criteria:

+ Exactly answer the questions correctly: 10 points. Student will get mark 10 if they answer totally 2 main questions and 1-2 additional questions. Time allowance for answering is maximum 10 minutes per student.
