1. COURSE OBJECTIVES
This course aims to equip students with the fundamental knowledge on banking, including the characteristics of banks, bank operations and principles of commercial bank management. This module shall cover: the development of banking system; functions, characteristics, types and organizational structure of banks; policies and regulations for banking activities; key services of commercial banks (deposit mobilization, credit, payment, e-banking) and many other services of the bank. Knowledge of bank management and performance evaluation will also be provided in this module.
