1. COURSE OBJECTIVES
The course intends to help students gain a piece of deep knowledge about art from the primary concepts. In addition, this course also presents a general global view of art history, which covers the concurrent historical period in Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Americas. In the first section, this course explores the formal elements of art to enrich vocabulary in this field. The artist's materials and tools section will help students make sense of the concepts and techniques in some art forms. This section examines the various media and processes used to create art, such as drawing, painting, photography, and sculpture. Multiple topics, including specific artists, art theory, periods, cultures, and current social issues related to the world of art and the Global Heritage and the Modern Era, will be lectured throughout the course.
