1. COURSE OBJECTIVES
The course is designed to provide an overview of essential skills in career development, such as critical thinking and problem solving skills; communication, presentation and teamwork skills; organizing, time management and planning skills. The course helps students explore different career paths in economics and international business as well as in various types of work environments (enterprises, social organizations, public entities). All students will be encouraged to explore their values and goals, assess their strengths and weaknesses, needs and interests and to investigate suitable development opportunities as they pursue their educational pathways. Through a variety of learning technique and experiences including lectures, guest speakers’ sharings, class discussion and hands-on field trips, students will learn how to define, investigate and pursue their goals in study, work and community in order to prepare for the 21st Century workforce.
