1. COURSE OBJECTIVES

This course is intended to provide students with an overview of the skills required for career development such as critical thinking and problem solving; communication, presentation and teamwork skills; organizational, time management and planning skills. The course enables students to explore different career paths in the field of international economics and business as well as in different types of professional organizations (businesses, social organizations and public organizations). Students are encouraged to explore their own values and goals, assess their needs, interests, strengths, weaknesses, and identify appropriate development opportunities for themselves during their studies. Through lectures, expert talks, hands-on discussions, and field visits, students will learn to identify, investigate, and pursue goals in study, work, and community service as well as to get ready for workforce requirements in the era 4.0

Midterm test

Individual Test – In-class MCQ test in session 9 (25 minutes with 50 questions on all content of the previous lessons). The weight of this test is 20% of the total score of the course.

Individual Assignment – Goal setting and study planning (for students to do at home after session on Goal setting and study plan and submit in the next session). This assignment ’s weight is 10% of the total score of the course

Group project includes Group report and Group presentation 

- The group report is from 10 pages A4 in length (50% of the total score of the course)

The report should include the following sections: 

+Title of the project +Background information +Objectives 

+Actions

+Required resource and resource allocation (what, who, when, how...)

+Monitoring and evaluation

+Risks and risk management

- Group presentation: 5-7 minutes/group (10% of the total score of the course)



- Criteria for evaluating the group report:

+ Define clear problem (2 points)

+ The content matches the title of the project, fully solves the problem and includes the required sections (5 points)

+ Documentation of honest and transparent use of data sources (1 point)

+ Format of presentation, language, tables, citation of references (2 points)


Criteria for evaluating the presentation:

+ Good presentation content (5 points)

Good presentation skills (3 points)

+ Slides well prepared (1 point)

+ Time of presentation as prescribed (1 point)
