1. COURSE DESCRIPTION
Global Governance includes a series of processes, mechanisms, laws, practices, institutions and stakeholders... formed on the belief that international cooperation is necessary and feasible in the face of many issues such as security, humanity, trade, finance, environmental protection, social security, internet use... The course discusses the key contents of global governance: does global management really work, what is the architecture of global governance like and how has it evolved over time? How does global governance affect the world in terms of making life better, solving problems of global instability and how it affects the distribution of power in the world system. What role do state actors, civil communities, non-governmental organizations, academic networks, foundations, etc. play in global governance? The course also discusses key issues in global governance including global trade governance, global financial governance, and issues related to sustainable development.
After finishing the course, learners can:
- Have the foundation competence to become experts and managers in jobs related to economics and business, especially economics and international business
- Have background knowledge in economics, business and expertise in various fields of international business economics; especially in-depth expertise in one of the fields of international business economics;
- Have the competence to detect, analyze, synthesize, criticize and solve complex problems in the economic and business fields; connect ideas, develop business models associated with the international environment; capable of lifelong self-study; have the ability to continue studying for a master's or doctoral degree in business economics.
- Have good health, political attribute, professional ethics, bravery to overcome difficulties and challenges, innovative thinking, self-oriented ability and responsibility towards individuals, community as well as a sense of community service.
