1. COURSE OBJECTIVES
This course aims to provide a treatment of the concepts of financial statement analysis, key issues in corporate reporting and the regulatory framework, and the links between accounting and market-based information. Emphasis will be placed on the use of the publicly available financial and non-financial information of major UK corporations to assess position, performance and prospects, within the wider context of the business and regulatory environments. Students will become familiar with the challenges which must be faced when analyzing financial statements, and will develop the scope and depth of their analytical skills.
