1. COURSE OBJECTIVES

This course is to equip students with an advanced level of understanding regarding macroeconomic issues. Topics of the course include equilibrium model in closed economy, open economy, neoclassical growth model, endogenous growth model, business cycle, consumption and investment. The course also introduces students to micro-optimization tools used in modern macroeconomics such as consumption model, money demand model. After completing the course, students can analyze and evaluate the fluctuations of the economy in both short term and long term.
