1. COURSE OBJECTIVES

The production and operation management is a vital function of the management in converting the raw materials into valued added goods and services in a controlled manner as per policies in the organization.

This course introduces and equips students with in-depth knowledge about Manufacturing and Production in Supply Chain Management; also delivers the typical tasks, components and forces driving changes in the Manufacturing and Control environment and how these factors affect company operations. The course focus on some aspect, such as: Forecasting in Operations Management, Design and Development of Products & Processes, Facility & Layout Planning, Capacity Planning, Inventory Management, JIT Manufacturing and Supply Chain Management, Productivity, Work Methods and Measurement, Quality Control & Quality Management, Maintenance & Reliability Management.
