1. COURSE OBJECTIVES
This is the basic theoretical course, play the role as a bridging course, connecting foundation courses to professional knowledge courses. This course aims at equipping students with fundamental knowledge about money, financial intermediaries, and central bank. After finishing this course, students will be able to understand the nature of money, interest rate and determinants of interest rate, especially the role of commercial banks in financial markets. The knowledge about the role of central bank, its tool in conducting monetary policy and its impact on the economy also be provided.
