1. COURSE DESCRIPTION

The World History course aims to provide undegradute students of any background with basic, fundamental and comprehensive understanding of the world development from the first appereance of the humankind until today. The course covers some main topics such as the first civilizations of humankind (to 500 B.C.E); the classical era (500 B.C.E. – 500 C.E); the age of accelerating connections (500-1500); the early modern world (1450-1750); the European moment in world history (1750-1914) and the most recent century (1914-today). The students would like to take this course because it equipes them with very concrete and practical understanding the world they are living in.
