- COURSE OBJECTIVES
This course provides a basic study of the philosophical perspective of individuals in the field of engineering at both manufacturing companies and universities that aim to transform their most important assets—their human resources—into a balanced environment which possesses technical expertise while simultaneously retaining ethical values and principles. In order to:
– Describe basic capabilities that all students need to acquire before entering the workforce.
– Call engineering students’ attention to capabilities that they will need to acquire as engineers in the real-world workplace.
– Discuss how students should develop a personal sense of purpose and how they should exercise their purposefulness in the real-world workforce.
– Summarize capabilities that students should hone through opportunities for workplace training.
– Consist of checklists for students to use to monitor their progress and for them to continue to use after leaving school.
